"The theme for this epic event underpins the imperatives for a new awakening and paradigm shift in diabetes care as well as the necessity to re-kit the healthcare persinnel who is a critical partner in the patient's health journey," she said.

The Acting Director General of National Agency for Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Mrs Yetunde Oni has just ended a media briefing to dispel rumour that 42 banned anti-malaria medicines were circulating in the country.
Mrs Oni announced that the alleged banned drugs are oral monotherapies which are not recommended for treatment of malaria in Nigeria.

A 3-day annual media meeting on anti-corruption in Nigeria kicked off this morning in Lagos with a call by the Provost, Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Mr. Gbemiga Ogunleye urging journalists to be fully involved in Nigeria's fight against corruption.
Ogunleye advised journalists to inform the public on the value of money being lost to corruption and how this affect dvelopment process in areas such as education and health care.
